Kurdish expansion in CHP's 32nd ordinary general assembly came with songs instead of reports and speeches. Civan Haco's songs, amongst others, were played in the hall. Deniz Baykal was re-elected as the chairman. The list of the party council came as no surprise. General secretary Önder Sav made his mark on the list. Former female department chairman Güldal Okuducu, who had supported Haluk Koç, was excluded from the party council list. Ilhan Kesici, who was at the top of the list with his rightist origins, was also left out. Baykal handed over a list with a total of 46 different names to the management. |
