During his officially visit to Serbia; Prime Minister Recep Tayyip ErdoÄŸan held a joint press conference with Serbian Prime Minister Mirko Cvetkoviç in which he discussed the violent raid on the Mavi Marmara and the US stance on the issue.
Stating that the violent raid in international waters constitutes a crime, Prime Minister ErdoÄŸan stated that they find the United States’ silence regarding the deaths of eight Turkish citizens and one American ‘significant’.
Prime Minister ErdoÄŸan not only questioned if America’s silence was due to the US citizen killed being of Turkish heritage, but he also stated that their expectations of Israel have not changed and they still demand an apology, reparations and the opening of Gaza’s borders.
