Erdoğan tells the Turkish Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges (TOBB) Chairman Hisarcıklıoğlu: “How could an organization of businessmen say ‘no’ to a package that would pave the way for the business world…”
SABAH has accessed the backstage details of the Prime Minister’s meeting with the TOBB committee. When questioned how they plant o vote, It turns out, Chairman Hisarcıklıoğlu stated; “We have members that represent every perspective. It would not be right for us to vote either ‘yes’ or ‘no’ as a collective chamber.”
Upon hearing Hisarcıklıoğlu’s response, Erdoğan then took a turn to speak, stating; “We want a ‘yes’ vote in the referendum for the future of Turkey. You asked for ‘constitutional security’ in both the Economic and Social Council and we instilled a package. You said you were unable to leave the country due to tax fines and we secured a new arrangement.”
WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE PACKAGE?
Erdoğan went on to state; “A number of tenders were cancelled as a result of judicial practices. In order to accommodate the business world, legitimacy auditing will no longer be conducted. Isn’t this all for you? Will this not be reflected in the economy? What is wrong with this package?”
