| Turkey will build a natural gas power plant in Turkmenistan, and Turkish Petroleum Corporation will also take part in oil and natural gas exploration works in Caspian region of Turkmenistan, Turkish energy minister said on Wednesday.
Investment opportunities in solar and wind power in Turkmenistan were discussed at Minister Hilmi Guler’s meetings with Turkmen officials, Anatolian Agency reported on Wednesday.
Guler, who held energy talks with Turkmen officials, met Turkmenistan's President Gurbanguly Berdymuhammedov and discussed new cooperation opportunities on energy.
"But my visit to Turkmenistan has nothing to do with recent developments in the Caucasia. It was a scheduled visit," he was quoted as saying.
Guler and his delegation, arrived to Kazakhstan to attend an energy forum on Thursday.
The Turkish energy minister is expected to meet the energy minister and trade minister of Kazakhstan, and the head of the Kazakh oil company KazMunay Gaz.
