A business from the Central Anatolian province of Denizli has produced anti-stress socks using silver fibers that are supposed to drain stress and negative energy from wearers’ bodies.
Businessman Ali Taşevli said these anti-stress socks were not only for those who need some stress relief but also could be worn by those who have dermatological issues like eczemas or mycosis.
“We have initiated research and development studies solely to find out how we can get rid of the excessive electricity created in the human body,” he said, adding that they found silver ions to be effective solution.
Appliances cause electric charge in human bodies
Taşevli said through these socks they aimed to rid the body of electrostatic charges caused by electric appliances that people are close to in their daily lives.
He said the socks with silver fibers were particularly important since they could stop feet from sweating as well as take away stress and fatigue. “Since it vaporizes foot sweat, it prevents mycosis and facilitates blood circulation, thus offering an ideal solution to diabetics.”
Taşevli said the socks were more useful for the health of those who work under severe conditions, like police officers and public servants, and they could enable the wearers to work under better health conditions.
‘These socks are for all ages’
Taşevli said they also were planning to diversify their production, adding that this pursuit led to their discovery of silver yarn.
“Silver works as electrical grounding, functioning like a lightning rod for negative energy that accumulates in the human body. Exactly like the lightning rods, silver socks encapsulate all negative energy,” he said, adding that the prices they had in mind were not astronomical, solely depending on the amount of silver yarn used.
“The rate of silver in one unit, which is normally between 2 and 7 percent, may increase up to 80 or 90 percent. This solely depends on the economy. The socks are suitable to be used by all ages."
He said there already was a boost in demand for the socks, which he thinks is because people are looking for solutions to stress. The biggest demand comes from police officers, soldiers, doctors and public servants, he said, adding that his belief was strong that the socks would help people live healthier.
Taşeli said they were prioritizing R & D studies to come up with more projects that prioritize natural and human health.
Stitching for police
Speaking to local news website DenizliHaber, Taşevli said they produced three sock varieties with riot squad officers in mind after two years of R&D studies. He said they have submitted a proposal to the Police Department about the socks.
“In one pair of the socks, which bears the police emblem, we used 5 percent silver yarn particularly in the heel, toe and sole parts. All the nerves in the human body are connected in the feet and that was our star point when we devised the project and prepared to produce the socks,” he said.
He added that they had 1.5 million-unit sock production under the brand of Poty, and they also had socks that massage the foot sole. “In addition to all these, we make our anti-sweat, anti-odor and hygienic socks purely from organic materials and we export 20 percent of our entire production to Germany, the Netherlands and Portugal. The remaining 80 percent is distributed to more than 70 provinces of Turkey by means of large, mainstream retailers.
