| A German charter plane, flying from Germany's Dusseldorf to Antalya province of Turkey, made an emergency landing in Belgrade on Saturday after one of its engines burst into flames, state-run Anatolian Agency reported. (UPDATED)
The German plane's crew and passengers were safely evacuated from the plane after it landed at Surcin-Belgrade airport, it added.
The passengers told the AP the fire was extinguished on the runway.
AP reporter at the Belgrade airport saw Saturday the Frankfurt-based XL.com Boeing 737-400 parked on the tarmac shortly after the fire was put out.
The aircraft was carrying 162 passengers, AFP reported.
The incident temporarily interrupted air traffic at the Belgrade airport.
