Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs is expecting Turkey to prevent further Turkish ships from attempting to break through the blockade in Gaza.
According to an announcement made by the Foreign Affairs Ministry, three tugboats will be arriving to Israeli ports today to reclaim the Mavi Marmara, Defne and Gazze ships that were confiscated in the May 31st Israeli raid of an aid flotilla bound for Gaza. The announcement reiterates that the ships will be handed over to Turkish representatives.
The announcement also includes a message from the Israeli Foreign Affairs Ministry to Turkish authorities that states they expect Turkey to prevent any new Turkish ships from attempting to break through the Gaza blockade.
The statements also reminds that Israel sends goods and materials daily to Gaza, through the Israeli-Gaza border terminals, in accordance to international agreements.
