While the USA is increasing pressure for Turkey-Israeli relations to normalize, Foreign Affairs Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu recently announced that Israel has yet to fulfill two conditions put forth by Turkey following the violent raid by Israeli forces on May 31st, resulting in the death of nine Turkish activists aboard an aid flotilla bound for Iraq.

Listing the conditions Israel has met, Davutoğlu states; “The passengers aboard were not charged, they were released as were the ships in the aid flotilla. The blockade on Gaza was lifted and an international probe committee established.” According to Davutoğlu, Israel has fulfilled five of the seven conditions put forth. An apology and compensation is the two conditions that remain unfulfilled.
