| Those include two reporters from Hurriyet daily, one each from Milliyet, Vatan, Star TV, Aksam and leftist Evrensel.
Hurriyet correspondents, Turan Yilmaz and Hasan Tufekci, would apply to the court to overturn the decision. Two reporters had revealed a secret meeting between Turkish Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan and President Abdullah Gul just a day before the Constitutional Court's critical decision in the closure case against the ruling party.
Turkish government came under fire with this decision, which is seen by the international press organizations as the latest attempt to curb the press freedom.
ERDOGAN'S OFFICE DEFENDS DECISION
Akif Beki, the spokesperson for Erdogan, defended the decision saying those reporters who made false reporters were deprived.
The press office, meanwhile, accredited three reporters from the state TV, TRT, who were not ellegible. Under the law, only the reporters who have the press card for at least three years could be accredited to cover the prime minister.
