The number of foreign visitors to Turkey rose 12.71 percent year-on-year in July to 4.085 million, the Tourism Ministry said on Monday.


Tourism is an important source of foreign currency for Turkey, which has a large current account deficit, that is expected to hit $50 billion by year-end.



In June, the number of foreign visitors had been up 19.17 percent from a year earlier.
