'Turkish Season' in France

From July 1 2009 until March 31 2010 the 'Turkish Season' is being celebrated in France with an estimated four hundred different

events focusing on the cultural, social, academic, and economic influences of Turkey. The programs highlight various aspects of

Turkish history and culture, ancient as well as modern.

The Turkish Culture and Tourism Minister Ertugrul Gunay together with the French Minister of Culture Christine Albanel officially

opened the 'Turkish Season' at a press conference on June 30, 2009 in Paris.
